I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy.
I am a scholar of Global Environmental Politics, with a focus on climate change and emerging technologies. I study the politics and governance of climate intervention technologies. Specific lines of my research program explore the relationship between governance and societal engagement, capacity building, and public perceptions.
Currently I am working on a project at the University of Chicago with Dr. Kim Wolske (Harris School of Public Policy) and Dr. Udayan Singh (Argonne National Laboratory) that will develop an integrative framework for gauging public acceptance of carbon removal, by bridging the social science and engineering literatures. My doctoral research explored how public engagement is used to govern research on climate intervention technologies, using solar geoengineering as a case.
My research has been published in several scholarly journals, including: Sustainability, Environmental Sciences: Atmospheres, Energy Research and Social Science, Futures, Elementa: Science of the Anthropocene, and World Trade Review.
